Atlanta Summer Mission

Don’t miss out on our first ever in-town mission trip. We will be working with Safehouse Outreach (www.safehouseoutreach.org) to care for people who are homeless in Atlanta. During the trip you can expect to:

· Serve meals to people who are homeless

· Distribute clean clothes and socks

· Spend a day doing construction for a church or home in need of repair

· Run a VBS type night for children

· Hike Stone Mountain and pray for the city

· Visit the MLK Center

· Create meaningful relationships with people in need

We will be staying on the Safehouse campus Monday-Friday. They will provide all our meals and lodging. Friday night we will stay in a hotel downtown to debrief and recoup from the week. Then to end the week, on Saturday we are heading to Six Flags and returning home that night.

To sign up, simply fill out the application below. You will be contacted by the end of March with an acceptance of your application and more information. The trip will cost approximately $400 per student. For students who will need help raising these funds, we will have several fundraising opportunities available. Expect to attend 3-4 team meetings prior to the trip. The specific dates of each meeting will be included in your acceptance email. Space is limited. This might be crazy to think about right now, but you will probably have a 25th birthday. Hopefully, college will be over, you might be married, and you might even have a full-time job. And let’s just hope that you aren’t still living with your parents. When you turn 25, you will either be “glad you did” or you will “wish you had.” Either way, you get to choose what story you want to tell. The question that looms large for all of us is this: Are you making decisions now that you be happy about then? Because afterall, you are going to be 25 someday.
